I have very exciting news today! In November, I’ll become a grandma!!! My son, Will, and my lovely daughter-in-law, Chea, are expecting their first child! I’m SOOOO excited!!!
Today, I want to share a project my daughter, Christina, Chea, and I have been working on. Christina and I are both Ellie Ambassadors (Christina is an ambassador through Fit Body Full Life. I’m an ambassador through Raising Figure Skaters). Christina is a fitness expert, so it’s natural for her to enjoy working out. Chea is a skating coach and sport psychology consultant, so she’s used to working out as well. I found that workouts needed to become an important part of my life, too. (See my Keeping Fit at 57 post.)
Disclosure: I received 2 pieces from Ellie activewear for my review. My opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links (at no cost to you).
Christina is a fitness expert and is capable of lots of cool moves beyond my capabilities. She’s our usual model for Ellie reviews. You can see my previous reviews of Ellie activewear here at Bits of Positivity: My Daughter and I Love Ellie Activewear!, Love Ellie Fitness Fashions, and Ellie Activewear for Different Style Preferences.”
You can see Christina’s previous reviews (which include descriptions of the outfits) at Fit Body Full Life: Fitness Fun with Ellie Activewear, Fitness Fun with Ellie Activewear at Balboa Park, and Fitness Fun with Ellie Activewear at UTC.
Christina and I did a photo shoot at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs at the beginning of June when Christina was in town for the wedding of one of her best friends. (They were close friends ever since their first ballet class together at age 7.) Christina was the photographer for Chea’s photo shoot at a playground (in honor of Chea’s upcoming motherhood) in San Diego. For detailed descriptions of each outfit, read Christina’s review at Fit Body Full Life: Fitness Fun with Ellie Activewear in Colorado and California.
Christina works hard to be healthy and fit. She has Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, which causes its own challenges. You can read her inspiring series here: My 6-Month Nutrition and Fitness Experiment and The Relax Day Experiment.
Chea is a former figure skater who maintains a healthy lifestyle while working as a skating coach, sport psychology consultant, and neurofeedback practitioner. She often works out with Christina and even supported Christina in her 6-month experiment by eating sugar free (except that Chea allowed honey and agave nectar in her diet).
I wore my outfit for this review along with my outfit from Christina’s and my April review. I modeled that outfit here to show that it works well for a wide range of ages. (I love that the famous Kissing Camels is behind and above me in the photo on the right.)
Even though I don’t work out as intensely as Christina and Chea (when Chea isn’t pregnant), I value fitness. As a grandma, fitness will be more important for me than ever … I want to stay healthy and keep up with my grandkids!
