Best Life Journey QuotesOne of my favorite quotes is about the journey. It’s a quote that was an important part of my kids’ figure skating experiences. Our family found it helpful to focus on the journey rather than the results of competitions. The quote is relevant to almost anything in life.

Today, I want to share that quote along with my other favorite life journey quotes.

“It’s all about the journey, not the outcome.” Carl Lewis

“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.” Ernest Hemingway

“If the path be beautiful, let us not ask where it leads.” Anatole France

“A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” Lao Tzu

“No matter where you are on your journey, that’s exactly where you need to be. The next road is always ahead.” Oprah Winfrey

“The best journeys in life are those that answer questions you never thought to ask.” Rich Ridgeway

“No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man.” Heraclitus

“Not all those who wander are lost.”  J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

“The only journey is the one within.”  Rainer Maria Rilke

“The most important reason for going from one place to another is to see what’s in between, and they took great pleasure in doing just that.” Norton Juster, The Phantom Tollbooth

“The beautiful journey of today can only begin when we learn to let go of yesterday.” Steve Maraboli

“If you fuel your journey on the opinions of others, you are going to run out of gas.” Steve Maraboli

“At every given moment we are absolutely perfect for what is required for our journey.” Steve Maraboli

“You have traveled far, but the hardest part of a journey is always the next step.” Jackie Morris, East of the Sun, West of the Moon

“Not I, nor anyone else can travel that road for you.
You must travel it by yourself.
It is not far. It is within reach.
Perhaps you have been on it since you were born, and did not know.
Perhaps it is everywhere – on water and land.” Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass

“The path to our destination is not always a straight one. We go down the wrong road, we get lost, we turn back. Maybe it doesn’t matter which road we embark on. Maybe what matters is that we embark.” Barbara Hall

“We should not judge people by their peak of excellence; but by the distance they have traveled from the point where they started.” Henry Ward Beecher

“I am no longer afraid of becoming lost, because the journey back always reveals something new, and that is ultimately good for the artist.” Billy Joel

“It’s not so much the journey that’s important; as is the way that we treat those we encounter and those around us, along the way” Jeremy Aldana

“Friends are as companions on a journey, who ought to aid each other to persevere in the road to a happier life.”  Pythagoras

“Cherish every moment with those you love at every stage of your journey.” Jack Layton

“The journey is the treasure.” Lloyd Alexander

“The seeker embarks on a journey to find what he wants and discovers, along the way, what he needs.” Wally Lamb, The Hour I First Believed

“The feeling remains that God is on the journey, too.” Saint Teresa of Avila
