Team Hoyt Contiues to InspireIf you haven’t heard of Dick and Rick Hoyt, be sure to read my original Team Hoyt post (and watch the YouTube videos): Dick and Rick Hoyt – Father and Son Inspiration. I’m inspired whenever I read about Dick and Rick Hoyt or watch a video about them.

Disclosure: This post contains Amazon affiliate links (at no cost to you).

I love the motto of Team Hoyt: “Yes, you can!” I also love that many parents of disabled children have begun doing races with their own kids to give them the same excitement and sense of accomplishment Rick feels when he races. You can read more at the Team Hoyt website.

Dick and Rick Hoyt have competed in 31 consecutive Boston Marathons … amazing! Now that they are 74 and 52, the 2014 Boston Marathon on April 21 will be their last Boston Marathon. But I’ve read that Dick and Rick still plan to compete in about 20 smaller races each year (2014 Boston Marathon Will Be Last for Dick and Rick Hoyt).

Here’s a moving video about Team Hoyt:

The Story of Team Hoyt @ ESPY’s 2013 – Jimmy V Perseverance Award (in 1080 HD)

Team Hoyt now has two books: Devoted: The Story of a Father’s Love for His Son and and One Letter at a Time.

Thanks for sharing this – I heard about the Hoyt’s a couple of years ago and was blown away by their story.
