Spreading Christmas Cheer This Holiday Season

I refuse to participate in Christmas activities before Thanksgiving, but I love the start of the holiday season once Thanksgiving has arrived. My house is already decorated for Christmas, and I’m feeling the Christmas spirit now.

"The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear." Buddy, Elf

Here are my favorite ways to get in the Christmas spirit:

While I focused on 21 Days of Contagious Gratitude before Thanksgiving this year, an attitude of gratitude helps me get in the Christmas spirit, too. It also helps if I focus on the true meaning of Christmas. The other thing that helps me is to focus on the fun (especially family fun), rather than all the extra things that need to be done before Christmas. (I’ve worked on keeping all the extra things that need to be done to a minimum.)

Here are some fun posts from the start of holiday seasons past as well as some fun for this season.

Since “Gangnam Style” is YouTube’s most-watched video of all time, here’s some Christmas fun “Gangnam Style”:

If you’ve missed the “Gangnam Style” craze, my son, DJ Will, has a new wedding video with a section showing the “Gangnam Style” dance at a wedding. (I just had to share this … proud mom!) Here’s the video:

UPDATE: Here’s a fun Gangnam Style video where Will joins some of his skating students in their Christmas show for “2012 Gangnam Style on Ice”

Have a truly joyful holiday season! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks so much, Carolyn! It’s fascinating to me that Will wanted to be a DJ when he was 10 years old. That’s when he started collecting music. His B.A. is in Communications with his minor in Music Industry Studies.

Will loves to entertain, so his DJ business complements his skating coaching perfectly. I love it when it works so perfectly for kids to follow their interests. ๐Ÿ™‚

That is great! Children are born knowing some things, I think, and your son surely is good at what he does. You can tell he loves being a DJ! He is a great dancer so I can see he would skate well. He is encouraging so I’m sure he is a wonderful coach.

Thanks, Carolyn! Will really does love his work as both DJ and coach. He wasn’t a natural dancer, but he worked hard at ballet and other dance for his pairs skating. It’s interesting that his dance training really helped both his skating and his DJing! He’s a true example of the value of hard work. ๐Ÿ™‚

The basketball one is great. I wonder how many times they had to film that.
