Deb, aloha. What magnificent quote. Though I love quotes, I have never collected competition quotes. This post is living on my computer for easy reference.
On of my favorite quotes has long been the one by Wayne Gretzsky:
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”
Deb, again, thx so much for this awesome compilation.
Wishing you wonderful Sunday and a spectacular week. Aloha. Janet

Thanks so much, Janet! I love that quote by Wayne Gretzky! I had it in my Best Quotes from Athletes post (https://bitsofpositivity.com/2010/10/01/best-quotes-from-athletes/), but I didn’t think of it when I was preparing this post. That’s too good of a quote to not include … I just added it! I hope you have a wonderful day and week, too! 🙂

Love the quotes. I’m not much of a sport person myself (though I love the thought of ice skating!) but I always find something on your site that I can relate to!
Deb says
Thanks, Kirsty! I did almost nothing with sports, and then my kids did LOTS with sports … I noticed that sports quotes and metaphors worked either way! 🙂
