I often think I should celebrate Mother’s Day (or Mothering Sunday) in March …like mothers in the UK. Both my children were born in March, so it’s a natural time for me to think about motherhood and what a joy it is.
My favorite quote about motherhood is the one by Elizabeth Stone: “Making the decision to have a child – it is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.”
That’s as true for me now when my children turn 29 and 24 as it was when they were babies. The feeling can apply to grandmothers, too! In honor of my children’s birthdays this week and in honor of Mother’s Day (whenever it’s celebrated in your country), here’s a word art freebie based on Elizabeth Stone’s quote:
