As much as I love social media, I sometimes feel like it’s about to swallow me … and everyone else … up.

Instagram Family ..

I resisted joining Instagram for a long time, not needing one more social media format to keep up with. I finally gave in and started using it to share some of the activities I’m doing with my granddaughter, Zoey. But I still don’t want to make everything I do with my family a part of social media.

Yes, I’m still the family paparazzi. I still love taking photos. But I’m not sure I want every single memory documented … and shared.

Have you seen the viral photo of the elderly woman at the movie premier, the only one without a smartphone, the one who’s “Living for the moment, and not the memory”?

Have you seen the viral video of “Instagram Husband”?

As much as “Instagram Husband” makes me laugh, it also concerns me. Is everyone really enjoying themselves? Are we staging our experiences rather than living them? Are we really present right now? Does our family really want to be an Instagram family?

Look at the photo at the top of the page again. Who’s really having fun?

Maybe we all need to learn from that elderly woman at the movie premier.

Hi This is very good your recommended article, the resources are very useful thanks for sharing with us.
It is very impressive how we use the applications if we know how to use it in social media.
