Positive Body-Image Dance Workout to "All of Me"

My daughter, Christina, choreographs dance workouts and performs them on YouTube. Her latest dance fits in with one of my causes … helping females have positive body images. The dance workout is to John Legend’s “All of Me” and is wonderful for teens and women.

I love the words to the chorus:

“‘Cause all of me
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I’ll give my all to you
You’re my end and my beginning
Even when I lose I’m winning
‘Cause I give you all of me…”

If you read my article about my daughter’s vitiligo (“Having a Positive Body Image with Vitiligo”), you’ll read about a great example of a husband loving his wife despite her imperfections.

I’m lucky, too, to have a husband who loves me for me rather than for how I look. I think  “All of Me” gives a great message of the importance of finding someone who loves you for yourself rather than how you look … someone who loves all of you.
