My word for 2014 is gratitude. I have so much to be grateful for. Being a new grandma has brought me an incredible amount of joy. I’m still amazed that my eBook Montessori at Home or School: How to Teach Grace and Courtesy became a homeschooling best-seller on Amazon. And I have MUCH MORE to be grateful for. I always hope to have an attitude of gratitude, but I want to place even more emphasis on making gratitude a bigger part of every day during 2014.
Here’s a word art freebie based on the quote “Joy is the simplest form of gratitude” by Karl Barth.
To download word art (without watermark), click here, then right click on the image and choose “Save Picture As . . .”
I have lots of gratitude posts and word art freebies.
If you’d like to know more about the word-for-the-year tradition, check out Ali Edwards’ One Little Word posts. Having a word for the year can be a help toward finding balance as a parent … and as a person.
Note: I have lots of word-art inspiration at the Bits of Positivity Facebook page and on Pinterest!

Lovely word art — so bright and cheerful! I was going to choose a word for the year, but could not decide between Kindness and Positivity, so ended up with two words; and I resolved to visit and comment on a positive blog every day. I’ve found it really does lift my spirits and bring more balance to life!
