Are You a Giver or a TakerI saw a video yesterday about Adam Grant’s research on givers and takers. The concept of givers and takers isn’t new, but Adam Grant, Wharton’s youngest tenured professor and highest-rated teacher, has some fascinating research about givers, takers, and matchers that can make a definite difference in the world.

Research about Givers, Takers, and Matchers

This video tells how you can help others become more giving. It also shares how the most successful people are generally givers.

Give and Take Book

Adam Grant gives a fun introduction to his book in this video:

I haven’t read Give and Take: Why Helping Others Drives Our Success yet, but it sounds fascinating. It’s exciting to hear that the most successful people are generally givers.

Helpful Advice for Parents

In this video, Adam Grant has some good advice about how parents can help their children become givers. He also has a helpful suggestion about praise, a suggestion that is consistent with “A Montessori Approach to Praise” (my post at Living Montessori Now).

Which of Adam Grant’s concepts do you find most helpful?
