September 21 is a very special day. It’s International Day of Peace and World Gratitude Day. Both are wonderful holidays for adults and kids to observe. Today, I want to share some activities that parents and kids can do together to observe both holidays.

Let's Sing Peace Around the World at School and at Home

At Living Montessori Now, I have a post with lots of resources for singing peace around the world on the International Day of Peace (or before if the International Day of Peace is on a weekend).

At Living Montessori Now, I have a roundup post of Montessori-inspired peace education activities and a post on how to prepare a peace corner. I also have a peace unit with free peace printables and Montessori-inspired peace activities.

Education World has directions for making “pinwheels for peace” for International Day of Peace (the template link no longer works, but you can get a template for making a peace pinwheel here.)

Amy at Kids Activities Blog has a pinwheel-making activity for world peace.

Teacher Vision has a free printable peace pledge page.

    I just did a project based on your ideas, my son loves it, we are a mixed culture family and everything international interest us. thank so much for your great ideas and the time you have taken to publish it. I know it’s hard because I also have a blog
